Vancouver's Quality of Living

As a world class city, Vancouver was ranked third for its overall quality of life in a global survey ranking. The city narrowly lost to Swiss cities Zurich and Geneva, reported a recent global survey published.

Other Canadian cities that received rankings included Toronto at 15th, Ottawa at 18th, Montreal at 22nd and Calgary at 24th. Mercer Human Resource Consulting awarded Vancouver a score of 107.7 in its annual ranking of quality of life.

Condé Nast Traveler magazine voted Vancouver was the "Best City in the Americas" for 2004, 2005 and 2006 based on ambience, friendliness, culture and sites, restaurants, lodging, and shopping. This is one of the city's many awards and accolades that show the many reasons to live in Vancouver!

Set in a magnificent landscape Vancouver is a vibrant, multicultural city. As a year round destination location, there are ample recreation and cultural activities. As the proud host of the 2010 Olympic & Paralympics Winter Games, Vancouver looks forward to enjoyment of the new amenities, infrastructure, future growth and great success in tourism, hospitality and business.
